People, pets not injured in East Bay Township fire
Two people and family pets escaped a burning East Bay Township home Sunday morning home without injuries.
Once on scene, crews from the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department saw flames through the roof. They were able to control the fire in less than a half an hour. Firefighters say the home on Roselawn Drive is a total loss.
The daughter of the homeowners was inside the home around 6 a.m. with a friend at the time of the fire. Two cats were rescued and one had to be revived with oxygen.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
