Peshabestown man facing charges for animal torture
A Peshawbestown man is facing torture charges after leaving his dog outside in the frigid temperatures without any form of shelter.
Elijah Shomin was arrested on Friday after he tried to run away from Tribal Police.
Shomin had four warrants out for several charges for various animal licensing charges. He is now facing four counts of animal torture.
He is being held in the Leelanau County Jail.
