Horizon Books downsizing, closing Petoskey location
CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, Mich (WPBN/WGTU) -- Horizon Books in Petoskey is closing their doors on April 30.
Owner Victor Herman, decided to downsize his bookstore franchise.
Store manager Ragnar Jacobsen says their sales were not doing well and when Herman decided to downsize, his store was chosen.
“We are all very sad to see this go,” said Jacobsen. “A lot of people who don't care about books still use this as a point of reference, when they are meeting people and everybody has been here. They come here for so many reasons. It’s going to be a sad thing to see this place close down.”
The store is having a 50 percent off sale that will run until the store’s very last day.
Horizon Books in Traverse City and Cadillac will be the only locations open after April 30.
