A much improved weather forecast today through Friday before we end up with increasing chance for showers/storms heading into the upcoming weekend. A significant shot of cool air will sweep back in next week.
After an unseasonably cool couple of days, the arrival of high pressure along with bountiful sunshine will let temperatures shoot back over the 70F mark for most places Thursday. Winds will remain out of the west/northwest up to 10 mph. Essentially the same forecast is in place for Friday, although winds will turn southwesterly with temperatures reaching back into the mid/upper-70's.
The arrival of a weak cold front Saturday into part of Sunday will lead to increasing chances for a few spotty showers/thunderstorms Saturday and a little more so Sunday. Again, the weekend will not be a washout but the risk is there for a shower or storm to pop up. High temperatures this weekend will be in the 70's.
There is increasing belief that a sharp downward plunge in our temperatures will take place early next week. Unusually cool weather will spill in starting Monday through Tuesday into the middle of next week. In fact, there is the possibility a few places next Tuesday may not get out of the 50's for daytime highs! Rain showers will be likely Monday and Tuesday as well.
