Police bust meth lab in Mancelona

The garage on this property, on SE Limits Street in Mancelona, is where police found several components used to make meth.

One Mancelona person has been arrested and is facing manufacturing methamphetamine charges.

On January 23rd, the Traverse Narcotics Team received a tip about a meth operation at a house on SE Limits Street in Mancelona.

The Michigan State Police meth response team, Traverse Narcotics Team, and Antrim County Sheriff's Office worked together to obtain a search warrant and search the house and garage.

Inside the garage, they found several components used to make meth.

The suspect is lodged in Antrim County Jail on the manufacturing meth charges.

The Antrim County Sheriff's Office says they will be keeping a close eye on meth and try to do everything they can to keep the problem from spiraling out of control.
