Arrest made in Kalkaska shooting death
KALKASKA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A 36-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested Wednesday in connection to a death in Kalkaska.
Broderick Ward, 42, was found dead inside a home on Gonyer Road in Springfield Township Tuesday evening.
Ward is from Inkster, near Detroit. His family says they couldn't get in touch with him, so they drove up north. That's when they found his body.
An autopsy has been ordered on Ward. Deputies can't confirm a cause of death yet, but family members believe it was a racially-motivated shooting.
Deputies say they have several persons of interest, who live at the home where Ward's body was found.
