      Police looking for people responsible for coin thefts at Traverse City car wash

      Authorities say the theft happened on May 29 around 11:30 p.m. at a car wash on the corner of South Airport and Garfield.

      The Traverse City Police Department is investigating a theft from a coin box at a car wash.

      Authorities say the theft happened on May 29 around 11:30 p.m. at a car wash on the corner of South Airport and Garfield.

      Similar thefts have also taken place in Grayling, Ludington and Lowell. In Ludington, police said the suspects put a paper bill into the machine and another object causing an override in the coin dispender. The men were then able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.
