Police warn residents about mail scam in Mason County

The Scottville Police Department has released a warning about a mail scam in Mason County.
According to the police, a resident received a package from the U.S. Postal Service. The package was marked as priority mail.
The Mason County Press reports that inside the envelop was a check for $1,735. The letter was from a company called Expert Audit who was working with Wal-mart Corporation.
Officers confirmed that the letter was fraudulent.
