Power Outages Reported Across Northern Michigan
High winds have caused thousands to be without power Tuesday morning.
Consumers Energy reports 2,000 people are without power in Benzie County this morning - many of those outages are in Homestead and Benzonia Townships.
In Leelanau County, over 50 people are without power in the Glen Lake area.
About 4,000 people are without power east of West Branch in Ogemaw County.
More than 11,000 homes and business are without power in the Houghton Lake and Roscommon areas.
- Cherryland Electric Cooperative is reporting outages in Leelanau and Grand Traverse Counties.
- Great Lakes Energy say they are working on outages in several counties including Lake, Oceana, Mason, Crawford, Wexford, and Grand Traverse.
- Presque-Isle Electric and Gas Cooperative is working on more than 1,000 outages in their service area.
- Cloverland Electric is reporting about 250 outages across the eastern Upper Peninsula.
Due to the power outages, the Cadillac Area YMCA is opening their facility to anyone who is without power for free. Residents can come and use the showers, internet and restrooms.
