The Presque Isle County man who was supposed to be taking care of dozens of dogs has been arrested for animal cruelty.
Brandon Thyrion, 20, is being charged with abandoning the animals.
In January, sheriff's deputies and the Cheboygan Humane Society searched a home in Hawks and seized 35 dogs.
One dog and nine puppies were found dead.
Investigators said Thyrion was supposed to be taking care of the animals while the owner was away.
So far, the owner is not facing charges.
Many of the dogs taken from the home were taken to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
