Registered sex offender accused of targeting children once again
A Chippewa County man is accused of sexually assaulting children and investigators say there could be more victims.
Dale Betlem, 40, of Kincheloe is charged with three counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, which is the most severe CSC charge. Betlem's alleged victims were under 13-years-old.
Betlem is also charged with one count of Third-Degree CSC with a child 13-15 years old.
Betlem is currently on the
sex offender registry
. He was convicted of Fourth-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim Between 13-16 in 2001.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office expects more charges in this case. Several search warrants were executed and multiple pieces of evidence were collected. Undersheriff Michael Bitnar said the investigation will continue until they are sure all victims have been found.
