Remus man charged for assaulting girlfriend and her children with knife
A Remus man is behind bars, accused of assaulting his girlfriend and her two children with a knife.
On Thursday, Mecosta County sheriff's deputies arrested 40-year-old James W. Getz after he was released from Spectrum Health BRH.
Getz was charged with attempted murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm on Friday.
Deputies said it happened on February 19 at the Chippewa Hills Trailer Court in Wheatland Township.
Getz remains in the Mecosta County Jail.
