Salvation Army holds Christmas in July campaign
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mi. (WPBN/WGTU) —
The familiar sound of the Salvation Army Red Kettle bells can now be heard in July!
On Friday, the Salvation Army of Traverse City kicked off the second annual Christmas in July Red Kettle Campaign.
They say they're dedicated to helping those in need in the community not just at Christmas but all year round.
The goal is to raise at least $10,000.
"It helps," said Major Jeff Russell. "Every penny and every donation helps and it just gives us a way to exceed our giving back to the community through our services."
Bell Ringers will be back out on Saturday at seven different locations in Traverse City from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
