Scattered showers and storms for Father's Day
Sun, 16 Jun 2013 10:00:00 GMT —
As our next system approaches, expect the showers and thunderstorms from Saturday night to linger into Father's Day.
Low pressure will pass just to the north of us and it's accompanying cold front will move through earlier Sunday.
This will cause showers and storms to linger into Sunday morning. The good news is, we'll see more and more sunshine going throughout the day. Most of us will see dry, sunny afternoon conditions - so fire up the BBQ! We do keep the chance of showers in the forecast for the early afternoon -mainly in the northernmost counties- and they will become more numerous throughout the day. High temperatures Sunday will be mostly in the 70s to around 80 degrees.
Showers and thunderstorms will pass through Sunday night into Monday, and more clouds will hang around to start the workweek as well. Monday temperatures will range from the mid 60s to the upper 70s.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be cooler, with highs around 70, but we'll be dry and see plenty of sunshine.
Enjoy the mid-week pleasant weather because although there will still be some sunshine across the viewing area, we also bring back the chance of storms Thursday into the weekend.
