Search underway for man who robbed bank in Mecosta County

Investigators say the man walked into the Isabella Bank on Perry Street in Big Rapids Township at 12:48 p.m. and demanded money from the bank staff.

Mecosta County, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Mecosta County Sheriffs Office is searching for the man who robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the man walked into the Isabella Bank on Perry Street in Big Rapids Township at 12:48 p.m. and demanded money from the bank staff.

He ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and is believed to have then left in a dark colored Volkswagen 4 door.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late twenties, 5'5" tall, medium build, brown hair, brown beard and wearing glasses.
