Two people are dead and a third is behind bars after a crash on M-37 Friday morning in Grand Traverse County.

The Grand Traverse Sheriff's Department reports that the crash happened around 9:45am on M-37 south near Center Road in Mayfield Township. A semi-truck was driving south on M-37 when it collided with a small pick-up truck that was traveling north.

The 49-year-old driver of the truck, Jeffrey Mitchell Toole from Benzie County, was killed in the crash and his brother, Joel Willard Toole, 43, was taken to the hospital for his injuries where he later died.
