Sheriff: Driver passes out from heroin use with kids in car, crashes into building

OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The sheriff's office says drugs played a role in a crash that caused a 22-year-old driver to run her vehicle into a store front in Walkerville Village.

It happened Sunday around 9:55 a.m. on W Main St near S. East Street.

According to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office, a 22-year-old was driving with a three-year-old and a five-year-old when she passed out from heroin use.

The vehicle then went off the road to the left and then went up on the sidewalk and then into a building. The vehicle then went down the building.

The sheriff's office says the driver was injured.

The woman was lodged for OUID.
