Sheriff looking for elderly Detroit couple on their way to Mason County

Shirley Brunson left the Detroit area Sunday morning and never arrived at her daughter's home in Free Soil.

The Mason County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Detroit couple who have not arrived at their daughter's home as expected.

The Sheriff's Office says Shirley Brunson, 78, and her husband William, 92, left the Detroit area before 9 a.m. Sunday. They were on their way to their daughter's home in Free Soil, northeast of Ludington, but have not arrived.

Deputies say the couple is traveling with their 43-year-old son who is mentally challenged. They do not own cell phones.

The Brunson's are driving a 2012 red 4-door Ford Taurus with Michigan plates 0781E8. They were expected to travel on I-75 to US-10 west-bound.
