OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Oceana County Sheriff's Office is trying to find the person responsible for shooting a dog with an arrow, leaving the pit bull/lab mix with serious injuries.

The animal cruelty case was reported at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday after the dog was found with the arrow on East Madison Road in Colfax Township.

The two year old dog named "Jensen" was taken to a veterinarian to be treated for the injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

According to the dog's owner, the arrow hit his back right shoulder and went above his spine and went out through his other shoulder without hitting any bones or major organs.
