Sheriff: Man hospitalized, arrested after breaking into home, sexually assaulting woman
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man is facing multiple charges after investigators said he broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman.
According to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff, the woman woke up to a man standing next to her bed around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday.
The woman claims the man had his pants down and was standing in his boxers.
Investigators said the victim and man knew each other.
Investigators said the man left the woman's house and ended up crashing his car on US-31 in Garfield Township around 1:30 a.m.
The man was taken to Munson Medical Center and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
He is now facing charges of home invasion, sexual assault and operating while intoxicated.
