Sheriff: Whiteout conditions in Antrim County, stay off roads if possible

The Antrim County sheriff is advising everyone to stay off the roads unless it is an emergency due to whiteout conditions.

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Due to the heavy snowfall causing whiteout conditions throughout Antrim County, the sheriff's office is advising everyone to stay off the roads unless it is an emergency.

Sheriff Dan Bean says traveling is dangerous and if you do have to go out to turn your headlights on and to stay a safe distance between other motorists traveling.

The sheriff's office will advise when it is safe to travel.
