Moms, weigh in: should it be illegal to rub a pregnant woman's belly?
A Pennsylvania man was charged with harassment for allegedly rubbing a pregnant woman's belly and hugging her without her consent.
According to NBC-News, Richard J. Beishline went to his pregnant neighbor's trailer at about 5 p.m. and hugged the woman and touched her stomach without her consent. She reportedly pushed him away and called the police while he returned to his trailer.
Beishline was later charged with harassment, which, in Pennsylvania, is defined as any action that has an intent to harass, annoy or alarm another person.
The charge is typically disposed of with fines.
What do you think? Is an unwanted belly rub deserving of a police report; or is it just annoying?
