A twin engine plane struck a six point buck as it landed at the Leo E. Geotz County Airport in Onaway Wednesday night.
The pilot said the plane was traveling at about 80 miles per hour when it struck the deer.
"The left landing gear collapsed and the plane came down on it's left wing and the aircraft slid down the runway," said airport manager Mike Germeay.
We are told the down state pilot and his passenger were not hurt but the deer was killed.
Mechanics were at the airport Friday trying to assess the damage to the plane.
