Some downpours Thursday


Wednesday morning...cloudy, drizzly. Any light rain will keep the roads damp and slow down traffic. The rain will early in the day. In the afternoon a little sunshine will break thru the clouds. Wind 10-20 mph. Highs from the upper 40s in the U.P. to middle 60s in Big Rapids.

Late Wednesday night...some heavier rain begins. It will spread across all of northern Michigan thru Thursday. Plus, thunder and lightning are possible. Over an inch of rain will be common in the Lower Peninsula. In the Upper Peninsula and northern Lower...the rain will change to snow for a while Friday morning. Highs will will range from around 40 in the U.P. to middle 50s south of Cadillac. Wind 15-25 with gusts over 30 mph.

Saturday, and Sunday we'll see sunshine and passing fair weather clouds. Highs mostly 50s each day. Some highs stay in the upper 40s in the northern Lower and the U.P.
