Kelli Stapleton, the mother accused of attempting to kill her teenage daughter Isabelle, and herself will go through a competency evaluation.
According to the Benzie County Prosecutor, once the judge signs off on the motion, Stapleton will be evaluated in order to find out if she is mentally fit to stand trial.
Stapleton is accused of trying to kill herself and her 14-year-old daughter Isabelle in September. She is now charged with attempted homicide.
The prosecutor says that all court proceedings are delayed until Stapleton completes the evaluation.
