Wexford County, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A Cadillac man is accused of using the social media site Pinterest to access child pornography

Jeremy Jorell Steed, 28, of Cadillac was arrested Wednesday on one count of possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.

The Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The cyber tips were originally submitted by Pinterest, Inc.

"We see it on Pinterest, we see it on Tumblr, we see it on Google, we see it on Facebook," said MSP Detective Sgt. Wesley Smith. "Pretty much any place you can post videos or images If people choose to use it for the wrong means or for nefarious reasons they can post and they do post quite regularly."

Steed turned himself into the Wexford County Jail on Oct. 18 and was arraigned on the same day. Steed was given a bond of $50,000/10 percent cash or surety.

Steed is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 24.

If convicted, Steed faces up to eight years in prison.
