Student formally charged in Ferris State stabbing
A Ferris State University student has been formally charged in the stabbing that took place at an on-campus residence hall early Saturday morning.
Ezekiel Guillermo Fulgencio, 19, was charged with assault with intent to do harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The stabbing happened at an on-campus residence hall on Saturday morning between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
Police said Fulgencio and the victim knew each other and were involved in a fight when the victim was stabbed.
The victim was treated and released from Spectrum Health Big Rapids on Sunday.
Bond was set at $100,000.
Fulgencio is scheduled to be in court next on March 4.
