Sunshine and warm temperatures again on Thursday, lingering into the weekend
Most of Northern Michigan is coming up on nearly a week without a drop of rain with that streak of dry weather expected to continue for a at least three more days.
The last measurable rain for most of Northern Michigan was last Thursday with dry weather ever since then.
We enter the last week of summer with above normal temperatures along with pleasant/quiet weather continuing. That being said, there is some active weather somewhat nearby with showers/thunderstorms over the west/central U.P. into Western Wisconsin and parts of Northern Minnesota Thursday into Friday. All of that action is tied to a stationary front strung out north of the area. That front will make little headway into our area with any rain remaining well north/west of the area.
Expect another gorgeous late summer day Thursday with most areas well into the 70's or low-80's in spots with light winds. Basically, a carbon copy expected for both Friday/Saturday as any rain remains away from the region.
Our next chance for rain will hold off until Sunday. It appears a cold front will finally get a push across Northern Michigan later in the weekend with at least scattered showers/thunderstorms passing by.
