Hundreds spent their Saturday by the water for the annual Suttons Bay Art Festival.
The 35th annual event featured about 100 artists, including jewelry, clothes, furniture, paintings and more. Artists came from all over the country, but many were also local.
The festival also included food vendors and a kidâ??s corner for the younger artists to sell their work.
All of the proceeds from the festival go towards the Art Festival Community Projects, such as music performances, art programs and scholarships for local art students.
Organizers say the location on the bay helps make the festival special.
â??Everybody loves art, and when you can come down and are outside and look at all the choices of art you can take home with you, it's a great reason to be in Suttons Bay,â?? said volunteer Mary Woods.
The festival continues Sunday, August 3rd with a pancake breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. and art booths will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
