Power restored to thousands in northern Michigan following storm
NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- Thunderstorms rolled in with strong winds knocking out power for many counties in northern Michigan.
Thousands were without power Thursday morning. Nearly 5,000 Consumers Energy Customers in Mason County were without power, nearly 500 customers in Manistee County were without power as well as Lake County.
As of 1 p.m., all customers have their power back on.
The following schools were closed because of power outages Thursday:
Ludington Area Catholic School, Ludington Area Schools, West Shore CTE and West Shore ESD.
