      Thousands without power in Traverse City

      Thousands of Traverse City residents are without power after a Consumers Energy power line fell on top of a Traverse City Light and Power line.

      Thousands of Traverse City residents are without power after a Consumers Energy power line fell on top of a Traverse City Light and Power distribution line.

      TCL&P crews are on scene on Munson Ave. near the Civic Center working to restore power to the 1,432 customers who are without power.

      At the peak of the outage, Consumers Energy is also showed outages for about 3,272. According to the utility provider, all power has been restored.

      The utility providers estimate restoration will be completed early this afternoon around 1:00 p.m.

      TCL&P officials said most of the outage is concentrated around the base of Old Mission Peninsula from Garfield and front and to the north.
