Three arrested for meth trafficking in GT County
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Several anonymous tips led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of crystal meth.
On Monday the Traverse Narcotics Team got multiple tips about suspicious activity at a Grand Traverse County motel.
A surveillance team was set up at the motel and TNT confirmed the activity looked like narcotics trafficking.
On Tuesday another tip was called in about the same suspects at the same motel, they also told TNT officials the pair was headed to Lansing to bring meth back to Grand Traverse County.
TNT set up a surveillance detail on the suspects' travel route and tracked them on their way back to Grand Traverse County.
Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday TNT stopped the suspects and a K-9 unit from the Grand Traverse County Sheriff indicated there were drugs in the vehicle.
TNT said a substantial amount of crystal meth was found in the vehicle.
Two men, a 38-year-old and a 45-year-old, and a 43-year-old woman, all from Traverse City were arrested on felony charges.
The woman was also arrested for two outstanding felony warrants in another county.
