Three people injured in Clare County crash

      The driver of a pick-up lost control on M-115 near Lake Station Avenue because of the icy road.

      Three people were injured in a car crash in Clare County on Tuesday afternoon.

      According to the Clare County Sheriff's Office, Geraldine Marsden, 59, of Detroit lost control of her pick-up on M-115 near Lake Station Avenue because of the ice.

      Her pick-up slid into the opposite lane and collided with a Subaru Legacy, driven by 19-year-old Collette Anderson of Buckley.

      Marsden was ejected from her vehicle.

      Both drivers, as well as Anderson's passenger, 18-year-old Elizabeth Warbasee, were taken to the Clare emergency room.

      Geraldine Marsden was later taken to Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center-Midland for further treatment.

      Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

      Everyone involved was wearing their seatbelts.

      Lincoln Rescue/Fire, Surrey Rescue/Fire and Mobile Medical Ambulance Service assisted.
