A confirmed tornado that moved through Iosco County around noon left significant damage.
The National Weather Service in Gaylord has confirmed the tornado was an EF-1 tornado. They say there were up to 100 mph winds.
reported damage to trees, buildings and a few cars in Hale.
Photos from the area show the roof of a hardware store that was ripped off by winds and landed on a nearby VFW hall.
So far, there are no reports of injuries.
The town of Hale is without power at this time. There are downed light posts and electrical lines in the area.
