More than 1,000 grams of cocaine, a semi-automatic pistol and cash were found Friday during a traffic stop in Oceana County.
It happened on US-31 near Polk Road in Hart Township when a Michigan State Police Trooper pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic violation.
With help from a multi-jurisdictional narcotics team, officers found what they are calling suspected cocaine that was packaged for distribution.
A 24-year-old and two 35-year-old men with ties to Mexico were arrested and taken to the Oceana County Jail. They are expected to be arraigned on Monday. Their names will not be released until that time.
Police say the three suspects were arrested for possession with intent to deliver over 1,000 grams of cocaine. Two of the three men were also arrested for conspiracy to deliver over 1,000 grams of cocaine. All are considered felonies and could put the suspects behind bars for life, along with a possible one million dollar fine.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be following up on the immigration status of the three suspects.
