Traverse City woman injured in Mecosta County rollover

A Traverse City woman was injured after a rollover crash in Mecosta County on Saturday.

A Traverse City woman was injured after losing control of her vehicle on US-131 in Mecosta County Saturday night and flipping over the guardrail.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash around 8 p.m.

According to deputies, the woman was driving southbound on US-131 when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle went off the roadway and hit a snowbank along the guardrail, sliding along it before it flipped over. The vehicle went airborne and hit a traffic sign and another snowbank leading down to 11 Mile Road. The vehicle went airborne again and landed on its roof on 11 Mile Road.

The woman had cuts on her left arm and was taken to Spectrum Health Big Rapids.

Deputies say she was wearing her seatbelt. Speed was a factor in the crash.
