Treetops Resort completing $4.5 million renovation project
OTSEGO COUNTY, Mi (WPBN/WGTU) -- Treetops resort in Gaylord is close to finishing the first phase of a $4.5 million renovation.
The resort’s 190 rooms in The Inn and The Lodge are almost completely remodeled and will be completed by the end of July.
The rooms have been re-designed with a modern and cozy feel with neutral colors.
New additions have been added to the rooms, including flat screen televisions, remodeled bathrooms and furniture.
The lodge is also getting a new roof, siding and landscaping.
The last phase of the project is the main entrance, common area and the hallways, which are expected to be done this fall.
“It was time. The rooms had not been done in a while and we have a tremendous amount of great things to offer here and that was one area that needed some improvement," said Treetops General Manager Barry Owens. "It's been very well received so far and it is going to continue to be as we move into the future.”
The entire renovation project is scheduled to be completed by Thanksgiving 2017.
The resort is planning to have a grand re-opening to show off its new look in the fall.
