Troopers find gun, drugs during traffic stop

MSP Troopers from the Gaylord Post say they found a 9MM pistol, marijuana THC oil and Suboxone during the traffic stop.
CHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A traffic stop turns into an arrest after troopers said they found drugs and a gun inside a vehicle.
Michigan State Police Troopers from the Gaylord Post said they stopped a vehicle on Straits Highway near Scott Road in Cheboygan County on Saturday, March 17 around 4 p.m. for multiple equipment violations.
According to the troopers, they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and searched it.
Investigators said a 9MM pistol and about one ounce of marijuana THC oil was found inside the vehicle.
One Suboxone pill was found on the driver, investigators said.
The driver, a 56-year-old Wolverine resident, was arrested for carrying a concealed pistol, unregistered pistol, possession of an analogue and possession of marijuana.
