Two people were arrested on marijuana charges in Chippewa County Thursday.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, the investigation started on March 15. Several controlled drug purchases were made and after search warrants were executed, large amounts of marijuana, cash and digital scales were seized from the Sault Ste. Marie home.
Authorities say the marijuana was prepackaged in one ounce bags that indicate it was for sale.
Jerry Douglas Cadwell and Trevor James Pride, both of Sault Ste. Marie, were arrested.
Cadwell is facing two counts of delivery of marijuana, one count of possession with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug house. Cadwell will also be charged as a habitual offender.
Pride will be charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and one count of maintaining a drug house.
Both Cadwell and Pride were out on bond for narcotics charges at the time of the arrests.
