Two men arrested after fleeing the scene while deputies bust meth lab
Two men were arrested after the narcotics team busted a meth lab on Barlow St. in Traverse City Thursday evening.
According to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department, the narcotics team noticed suspicious activity at the home at 1629 Barlow St.
A search warrant was issued and served at the home Thursday evening. Officers found components of a meth lab inside the home.
Two men, William Stevenson and Jacob Kobza, arrived at the home as officers were searching it and proceeded to flee the scene in a car.
They were arrested by deputies moments later. Both are being held in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
The investigation on Barlow St. lead to the discovery of another meth lab on Oakland St. in Traverse City. Traverse City Police are handling that investigation.
Police are urging those who may find a meth lab not to touch anything because of how dangerous meth is.
