Two men charged in four Mason County break ins
MASON COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Two men were arrested on several charges related to a breaking and entering in Mason County.
On Sunday, Mason County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported breaking and entering at a home in the 6900 block of Lake Street in Branch Township near Tallman Lake.
When deputies got to the house they found break-in had happened at three other cabins in the area.
According to deputies, they followed footprints for about a half mile and found two suspects at another home.
Deputies searched the home the men were found in and reported finding 50 pieces of stolen property including TVs, power tools, propane tanks and other household appliances.
Lee Colby, 34, and Chad Collins, 26, both from Fountain, were arrested on charges of first-degree home invasion, four counts of second-degree home invasion, felony firearm, breaking and entering and possession of burglary tools.
Both men were arraigned and are still in the Mason County Jail.
Colby's bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety and Collins's bond was set at $35,000 cash or surety.
