Two men killed in Mecosta County crash

Michigan State Police Troopers are investigating a deadly crash that killed two people Saturday afternoon in Mecosta County.

Michigan State Police Troopers are investigating a deadly crash that killed two people Saturday afternoon in Mecosta County.

The two vehicle crash happened around 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of 8 Mile Road and Northland Drive in Mecosta Township.

Troopers say a GMC Jimmy traveling east on 8 Mile Road failed to stop at the intersection and was hit by a Ford Ranger pickup going northbound on Northland Drive.

Three people were inside the GMC.

The driver, an 18-year-old man from Wyoming, Michigan was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with serious injuries.

His passengers, an 18-year-old Wyoming man and a 22-year-old man from Coopersville, Michigan died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 31-year-old man from Cedar Springs, Michigan was taken to Spectrum Health Big Rapids with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers are not releasing the names of the victims at this time.
