Two vehicle crash on M-32 kills one

The passenger in the car was killed. The driver of the tranker was not injured.

One person was killed in a car crash on M-32 near Brook Trout Lane three miles east of Gaylord.

According to the Michigan State Police, the crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on Monday.

A preliminary investigation indicates a westbound car crossed the center line and hit an eastbond propane tanker.

A passenger in the car was killed, while the driver received critical injuries and was taken to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

The driver of the tanker was not injured.

Names will not be released until the family is notified.

State Police indicate weather conditions were a factor in the crash, noting low temperatures and high winds creating white-out conditions.
