Two women charged in alleged string of copper thefts, two not yet arrested
Two women accused in a string of copper thefts from Traverse City area stores have been charged.
Destiny May was charged Monday with organized crime, conspiracy and commit retail fraud, first degree retail fraud and habitual offender second notice.
Bethany Thompson was charged Friday with third-degree retail fraud.
Two other women, Dianne Comai and Ashli Green, are facing charges but have not yet been arrested.
The woman are believed to have taken copper items from Lowes, Home Depot and Menards to sell as scrap metal.
