      Volunteers and law enforcement team up in search of missing man

      A command center is helping organize a search for a missing man in Benzie County.

      Loyal Frederick suffers from Alzheimer's and disappeared Tuesday. Frederick was last seen around 3:30 p.m. near the Rock Shop on U.S. 31 near Honor.

      Frederick is believed to be wearing an orange jacket and may be with his black hound dog.

      The command center for the search is set up at the Platte River Association in Honor. Search crews of more than two dozen volunteers, the Benzie County Sheriff's Office, DNR, Michigan State Police and Camp Pugsley's search and rescue team are taking part.

      Crews searched throughout the night and began another organized search effort early Wednesday morning. Volunteers and officials loaded into pickup trucks and ambulances to search in different locations. The search is starting on U.S. 31 and heading towards State Road.
