War hero's son arrives for dedication ceremony
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A Traverse City war veteran and American hero, Colonel Dema T. Craw, is being honored in a ceremony for the new Traverse City VA Clinic.
The clinic will be named Demas T. Craw VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, in honor of Colonel Craw.
On Friday evening, Colonel Craw’s son, Nicholas Craw, arrived at Cherry Capital Airport to attend the ceremony on Saturday.
Craw’s jet was greeted by the Traverse City Fire Department with a special fire station salute of arched waters.
As Craw walked through security and entered the the bagging area, he was greeted by local veterans with the VA Clinic.
The dedication ceremony will be held Saturday at Cherry Capital Airport at 1:30 p.m.
The ceremony is open to the public.
