War Memorial Hospital receives large donation
Members of the War Memorial Hospital staff and local EMS crews celebrated a large donation that allowed them to purchase new devices.
The R.W. Considine Foundation donated more than $273,000. This grant was used to purchase mechanical devices to provide CPR in the field, in an ambulance, as well as in the hospital.
The donation was used for the Life-Stat mechanical CPR devices that was made by Michigan Instruments in Grand Rapids.
Units will be provided to all EMS crews serving the eastern U.P. and others will be provided to War Memorial Hospital.
