Today will be a little warmer than itâ??s been lately. High temperatures will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s.
Scattered snow showers are possible. An inch of snow will be common in a lot of neighborhoods, and 2 inches are possible.
The wind will gust over 25 mph. Even higher gusts are possible along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The wind is coming from the southwest, and that is giving us the boost in temperatures.
However, the wind will change direction overnight, and tomorrow it will be coming from the northwest. It will be a light wind...5-15 mph...but coming from the northwest it will bring colder air back into the state.
Sundayâ??s highs will be in the teens. You might see a light passing snow shower.
Once we get thru the weekend be prepared for some extreme cold.
Itâ??s been cold off and on for weeks, but the 2 coldest days of the season are coming up on Monday and Tuesday.
Thermometer readings will say the highs both days will be in the single digits, but it will feel even colder because the wind will gust over 25 mph both days.
That means wind chill temperatures will be below zero. So, take care and wrap up Monday and Tuesday...especially at night.
