We head into our second weekend of August with a continued trend recently of somewhat cooler than normal temperatures.
Overall, our weather for not only the weekend, but also the following week looks pretty quiet. There are two cold fronts that will pass by, the first one Friday evening and the second on Monday. Each will bring a few light showers to the area. Passing clouds will be noted Friday along with a few rain showers, of which the majority of them will be confined to the Eastern U.P. throughout the day although a few stray showers will work into the Lower Peninsula later Friday afternoon/evening. Any will be brief and very widely scattered.
The weekend is shaping up for a good amount of sunshine with temperature both days in the 70's although clouds will increase some Sunday afternoon.
Showers return to Northern Michigan Monday along yet another frontal boundary. It does not appear any big or widespread rain will fall.
