The Wexford County Sheriff's Office is warning residents of a telephone scam.
The Sheriff says an automated call identifies that Medical Alert equipment has been purchased on behalf of the recipient of the call.
The automated call then requests that the recipient confirm that they would like to receive the free equipment and begins to request personal information in order to complete the delivery.
The Sheriff's office says called the Medical Alert Company in Broomall, Pennsylvania and the company confirmed the calls are a scam.
